The Indian Forging Industry has made rapid strides and currently not only meets almost all the domestic demands, but has also emerged as large exporter of forgings mostly due to an increase in demand from the Europe & North American Markets.
In the western region alone there are around 147 forging units, which account for an annual turnover is Rs 15,000 Crore, having a total installed capacity of 18.07 lakh MT accounting for 47% of the total installed capacity in India.
The forging industry is likely to witness a growth of more than 10% in the new fiscal year.
